Saltus Technologies Serves Two Local Agencies with One Cost-Effective Electronic Ticketing Solution
Tulsa, OK, September 3, 2019 – Saltus Technologies, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET eCitation solution, announced today that the Wythe County Sheriff and Wytheville Police Department have deployed a multi-agency digiTICKET system. The shared configuration allows the sheriff’s office and police department to issue citations to violators while ensuring accurate information is available to the Wythe County Court and Virginia Supreme Court. By combining capabilities in a single system, both agencies simplify the ticketing process, reduce errors, and accelerate fine collection.
The multi-agency deployment includes thermal printers and barcode scanners for use in patrol cars. A handheld unit is also used for issuing parking citations. Wythe General District Court Clerk Vicki Tate, noted “The digiTICKET application captures driver data electronically which reduces ticket errors. The solution also includes a data interface with the Virginia Supreme Court which eliminates the need to re-key ticket data”. The system offers features to manage court dates, docket limits, as well as functions to search and reprint citations. Lt. Wythe County opted for the digiTICKET Solution as a Service (dSaaS) delivery method which provides all software, hardware, configuration services, training and ongoing support for a low monthly fee.
