Rollingwood and Cedar Hill Police Use Electronic Ticketing as a Force Multiplier
Tulsa, OK, October 13, 2015 – Saltus Technologies™, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET® eCitation solution, announced today that the police departments of Rollingwood and Cedar Hill, Texas, are issuing citations using digiTICKET. The agencies rely on digiTICKET to act as a force multiplier, significantly reducing the time needed for traffic stops while eliminating manual ticketing errors. The system also integrates easily with court software and other IT systems, further increasing efficiency throughout the citation process.
Rollingwood and Cedar Hill join a growing list of law enforcement agencies in the State of Texas realizing gains in productivity and safety using the digiTICKET system.
“digiTICKET allows us to issue tickets faster, so we spend less time on the roadside and more time on patrol,” said Police Chief Dayne Pryor, of the Rollingwood Police Department. “It also cuts down on mistakes caused by illegible handwriting, recapturing lost revenue. With fewer concerns about the ticketing process, we can focus on more important tasks.”
Rollingwood, part of the Austin-Round Rock metropolitan area, chose the digiTICKET Solution as a Service™ (dSaaS) pricing option, which supplies all required software and equipment for a low monthly fee. Cedar Hill, located outside Dallas, is using digiTICKET on handheld devices and printing to a Zebra printer.
digiTICKET currently has more than 4500 end users in 15 U.S. states, generating over 65,000 eCitations monthly. It has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity, and eliminating manual processes.
