Saltus Technologies Serves Two City Agencies with One Cost-Effective Electronic Ticketing Solution
Tulsa, OK, December 6, 2016 – Saltus Technologies™, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET® eCitation solution, announced today that the City of Port Allen, Louisiana, has recently deployed a multi-agency digiTICKET system. The shared configuration allows the police department and court marshal’s office to issue citations to violators, while ensuring accurate information is available to the court for easier collection. By combining capabilities in a single system, both agencies gain efficiencies, simplify the ticketing process, reduce errors and accelerate revenue collection.
Chrissy Simoneaux, Court Clerk for the Port Allen City Court, emphasizes the efficiency of sharing the system with local police. “The digiTICKET system started providing benefits right away,” said Simoneaux. “Whether a citation is for a traffic stop, illegal parking or other municipal offense, the violator’s information is quickly entered into the ticket. Accurate data is then automatically available in our court database, so we can collect the fines or take other appropriate action.” The system includes different ticket types and an export to the Haggerty court software.
Port Allen opted for the digiTICKET Solution as a Service (dSaaS) delivery method, which provides all hardware and software for one monthly fee with no upfront costs. The shared deployment includes seven handheld devices and seven mobile printers for use in patrol cars and other city vehicles.
As the seat of West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, Port Allen is home to approximately 5,100 residents. The city is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River.
digiTICKET has developed a reputation as an easy-to-use and reliable solution. Using handhelds, laptops and tablets, Saltus users process over 65,000 citations and warnings each month for over 150 agencies in 15 states. The solution has proven to be a key contributing factor in increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity and eliminating manual processes. Agencies have the choice to either purchase the system or acquire it using the digiTICKET Solution as a Service (dSaaS) procurement option.
