digiTICKET Replaces Previous e-Ticketing Software, Increasing Efficiency and Accuracy
Tulsa, OK, September 16, 2015 – Saltus Technologies™, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET® eCitation solution, announced today that the Overland Park, Kansas, Police Department has had a very successful transition to digiTICKET, smoothly replacing their legacy eCitation system. Through Saltus’ partnership with the Kansas Highway Patrol and its KLER Justice Solution, the city switched from a national eCitation competitor to join the growing number of Kansas agencies using digiTICKET to improve their citation process.
“The Overland Park Police Department was seeking to replace their legacy eCitation solution in an effort to enhance functionality and increase user satisfaction. After evaluating digiTICKET against their legacy system and other competitors, we were pleased that digiTICKET was selected to meet their requirements and provide additional functionality,” said Eric Fultz, president and CEO of Saltus Technologies.
The solution’s ability to interface easily with third-party systems also played an important role in the City’s selection process. Ticket data collected using digiTICKET uploads automatically to the city’s Intergraph records management system. Saltus has developed an automated process that extracts ticket data and transforms it into a database file that can be automatically consumed by the records system. Additionally, digiTICKET interfaces with the Intergraph mobile software, allowing officers to select data from previously run person and vehicle queries and insert that data into the ticketing form; further streamlining the ticket issuance process for the officer.
Overland Park, a large suburb or Kansas City, is home to more than 173,000 people, making it Kansas’ second most populous city. Other police departments in the Kansas City area already leveraging digiTICKET include Lenexa, Shawnee, Roeland Park, Merriam and Edwardsville.
Agencies can acquire digiTICKET as a hosted service or by direct purchase. In Kansas, agencies can purchase digiTICKET off of a State Contract. The solution currently has more than 4500 end users in 15 U.S. states, generating over 65,000 eCitations monthly. It has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity, and eliminating manual processes.
