Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) Adds digiTICKET™ eCitation Software to KLER Justice Solution Suite

Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) Adds digiTICKET™ eCitation Software to KLER Justice Solution Suite KHP to Offer Shared RMS with Saltus Technologies’ digiTICKET to Local Agencies for Little Cost

Tulsa, OK, April 5, 2012 – Saltus Technologies™, a leading provider of eCitation systems for law enforcement, announced today that digiTICKET™ will soon be available to all Kansas public safety agencies as part of the new KLER Justice Solution, created and sponsored by the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP). According to Mark Thurman, KHP Information Technology Officer, this new solution will be fully integrated with the Kansas Law Enforcement Reporting (KLER) system and brings together four state-of-the-art software packages to provide field reporting, a Records Management System (RMS), electronic citation ticketing and Court management capabilities.

Through special pricing provided by each vendor, Kansas agencies will be able to procure this full-featured system for little-to-no up-front cost, initially providing this service for smaller agencies that have relatively no RMS system in place. “Saltus is excited to be part of this integrated statewide solution that quickly and accurately captures, processes and accesses information from the squad car through to the agency and onto the courtroom,” stated Eric Fultz, President and CEO of Saltus Technologies. “We appreciate the Kansas Highway Patrol selecting digiTICKET as their electronic citation system.”

The KHP previously provided its free, best-of-class KLER field reporting system to all agencies as part of a program to streamline the capture of submission of crash reporting data across the state of Kansas. The new KLER Justice Solution (KJS) takes that coordinated approach to the next level by adding three innovative software components from vendors that have partnered to fully integrate with KLER to provide a complete work flow solution. Saltus Technologies has previously partnered with Global Software, the provider of Justice RMS, the cornerstone of this new KJS shared RMS system. A new Saltus partner, Justice Systems, is providing its FullCourt Enterprise court management system to complete the KJS suite. Traditional fees charged for interfacing these systems will be waived for participating agencies. digiTICKET and Justice RMS can be procured off of a KHP state contract.

“The Kansas Highway Patrol is excited by the opportunities of the KJS (KLER Justice Solution) offering. We believe this offering will allow smaller law enforcement agencies to have a secure Records Management System at little to no cost while improving the electronic submission of reports to the State. Electronic reporting of citations and reports offers law enforcement, state repositories and courts the opportunity to save money by gained efficiencies. The KJS integration of the combined applications improves data quality and simplifies the reporting process. The sharing of data provides for improved and safer policing for law enforcement and the public we serve to protect,” added Thurman.
