Saltus Technologies and Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) Announce Alliance.
(McLean, Va.) Oct. 21, 2014 — Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAIC) today launched an electronic ticketing solution for the law enforcement community that enables officers to quickly and easily process and issue tickets to violators. SAIC’s solution, Qwik-e-Ticket, provides law enforcement agencies with a turn-key solution that allows them to process up to eight different charges in less than two minutes for little to no up-front costs.
“The Qwik-e-Ticket solution provides users with increased productivity, data accuracy, revenue and officer safety while reducing overall costs. Our solution can scan IDs and licenses, issue tickets, capture GPS coordinates, electronic signatures, voice notes and photos, map issuance locations and more,” said Terry Hicks, SAIC vice president of IT Managed Services. “Using our resources, SAIC is able to provide complete managed service, including all necessary hardware, IT platforms and services, software and support.”
SAIC’s Qwik-e-Ticket solution uses Saltus Technologies LLC’s digiTICKET® software to deliver full lifecycle electronic ticketing and additional software solutions on the go. digiTICKET quickly creates and submits tickets electronically, and runs on a range of mobile devices, including rugged Windows handhelds, laptops and tablets.
SAIC and Saltus Technologies have teamed to offer this comprehensive solution to state, local, and federal government law enforcement agencies. Using digiTICKET, agencies will not incur up-front costs, but will be charged with a fee per ticket.
SAIC will be responsible for providing all necessary hardware, project management and data hosting services. Additionally, SAIC will work with Saltus Technologies to manage the delivery of Qwik-e-Ticket to customers and establish and manage a support service desk.
“Using digiTICKET, SAIC can provide law enforcement agencies with a easy to use solution that can issue tickets accurately, eliminating illegible handwriting and error-prone data found on handwritten tickets,” said Eric Fultz, president and CEO of Saltus Technologies. “This unique partnership between Saltus and SAIC will allow the largest agencies to deploy a fully configured and integrated Qwik-e-Ticket on existing laptops with little to no up-front cost. The fee per ticket procurement option offers a budget-positive solution that decreases costs and increases productivity.”
