Kansas Highway Patrol’s KLER Justice Solution Selected for Recognition Award
The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) just announced the 35 State Government IT initiatives for their 2013 NASCIO Recognition Awards. The Kansas Highway Patrol’s KLER Justice Solution, which includes digiTICKET, is being honored as one of the top IT initiatives that resulted in outstanding achievement in the field of Information Technology in State Governments.
In 2011, KHP implemented the KLER Justice Solution, bringing together private business, state and local government to integrate criminal justice system applications within a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) compliant private cloud infrastructure. The KLER Justice Solution is a fully integrated suite of public safety software solutions which enables agencies to quickly and accurately capture, process and access data from the squad car to the courtroom.
NASCIO selected 35 state IT initiatives in 11 categories and will select one initiative in each category that will be additionally recognized at NASCIO’s upcoming Annual Conference in October. Projects and initiatives from NASCIO member states, territories, and the District of Columbia were eligible for nomination, and finalists were selected by NASCIO’s Awards Committee from a field of more than 120 nominees.
