Rogers, Arkansas Police Deploy digiTICKET® eCitation to Increase Patrol Time, Eliminate Errors and Boost Productivity

Arkansas’ Largest digiTICKET Deployment Pays Off in Efficiency, Accuracy and Cost-savings

Tulsa, OK, Nov. 18, 2015 – Saltus Technologies, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET® eCitation solution, announced today that the Rogers, Arkansas, Police Department began issuing electronic tickets using digiTICKET. The department is already experiencing measurable benefits, including shorter traffic stops, easier data collection, and efficiency gains throughout the citation workflow.

Using digiTICKET, officers scan information directly from a violator’s driver’s license, improving data accuracy and reducing the time spent in hazardous roadside situations. Once data is entered in the system, it is automatically available for police records and court software – without the need for redundant data entry.

“We’re impressed by how much digiTICKET simplifies the whole citation process,” said Captain James Baker, Support Services Division, Rogers Police Department. “It makes issuing tickets much easier, so officers get back on the beat faster. Plus, we no longer have problems with illegible handwriting, or typographical errors from data reentry. It’s been a great move.”

Rogers’ digiTICKET deployment consists of 75 purchased units, with additional units currently being considered. Also included in each vehicle are a Motorola DS4208 driver’s license scanner and Brother RJ4030 printer. Located in Benton County, Rogers is Arkansas’ eighth largest city and home to more than 55,000 people. Rogers PD joins other Arkansas agencies that are currently using digiTICKET such as the Bentonville, Benton, and Bryant Police Departments.

digiTICKET has more than 4500 end users in 15 U.S. states, generating over 65,000 eCitations monthly. It has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing efficiency by reducing errors, improving productivity and eliminating manual processes. Agencies have the choice to either purchase the system or acquire it using the digiTICKET as a Service™ (DaaS™) pricing option.
