Baker Louisiana Police Deploy digiTICKET Advanced eCitation System

Tulsa, OK, June 6, 2012 – Saltus Technologies™, a leading provider of eCitation systems for law enforcement, announced today that the Baker Police Department in Louisiana, has successfully completed the deployment of digiTICKET™. The digiTICKET eCitation solution enables officers to quickly create, record and print digital tickets; saving valuable time and drastically improving the safety of both officers and violators.

The Baker Police Department is dedicated to providing “best of breed” technologies for its police officers. A suburb of Baton Rouge, Baker is home to one of the most advanced police departments in the state of Louisiana. The Police department chose digiTICKET as their eCitation solution after a thorough evaluation of electronic citation vendors. Key factors that resulted in the award were digiTICKET’s superior user experience, ease of use and Saltus’ reputation for outstanding customer service.

Baker Police Chief Mike Knaps said, “digiTICKET provides a solid foundation for advanced ticket processing for our officers and Court employees. The transition from handwritten tickets to electronic ticketing was simple and straightforward. The net result has been a reduction in handwriting errors and bottlenecks as well as reduced man hours to issue and process tickets in our RMS and Court systems”.

Most Municipalities and State agencies continue to face smaller budgets due to lower tax revenues, so digiTICKET’s proven, documented ability to maximize officer efficiency and recover lost revenue due to the elimination of clerical errors is a critical force multiplier, especially for smaller agencies and police departments. digiTICKET’s ease-of-use and simplicity of integration to existing records management and court systems makes it very easy to implement. digiTICKET is in use in eleven States. It’s already proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by over 10 percent while saving law enforcement agencies time and money.
